Compare Complete Himachal Tour Packages

If you want Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Dalhousie in one holiday, compare our two 10-day private circuits. Both follow the same core route. Choose the stay category and vehicle arrangement that suit your group.

Both circuits are 10 days with 9 hotel nights, split as Shimla 2 nights, Manali 3 nights, the Dharamshala area 2 nights and Dalhousie 2 nights. Both fly into Chandigarh and out from Amritsar, with 9 breakfasts and 9 dinners included.

Standard uses entry-level 3-star or equivalent stays and a private sedan or Ertiga according to the confirmed party arrangement. On regular dates it is estimated from Rs 37,999 per adult for 4 adults sharing 2 rooms, or about Rs 47,999 per adult for 2 adults sharing 1 room.

Premium uses upper 3-star or entry-level 4-star equivalent stays and a private Innova Crysta according to the confirmed party arrangement. On regular dates it is estimated from Rs 51,999 per adult for 4 adults sharing 2 rooms, or about Rs 72,999 per adult for 2 adults sharing 1 room.

Prices depend on your dates, room sharing, availability and confirmed vehicle arrangement. Flights are extra. Christmas, New Year and other peak dates are quoted separately. Your final dated quote confirms applicable taxes, mandatory hotel charges and the exact inclusions.

Offbeat Himachal group trip

Some holidays use a private vehicle throughout. Others combine shared Volvo journeys with private sightseeing, while the group trip has shared arrangements on fixed departures. Overnight travel can form part of the published night count. Check accommodation nights and travel nights separately before comparing packages.

Planning Your Journey from Home

Travelling from Chennai, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Hyderabad, Mumbai or Kerala? For the complete four-destination circuit, compare flights into Chandigarh and home from Amritsar. This follows the direction of the booked route. The Amritsar airport drop ends the 10-day trip, and sightseeing in Amritsar is not included in that departure day.

Share both flight options and the total days you have away from home before booking. If you are travelling from Kerala, tell us your actual airport, such as Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram or Kozhikode. Available connections and baggage arrangements vary by date and airline.

Ask our team to check arrival and departure timings against the itinerary and road buffer. A late arrival or an early return flight can require an extra stay. Additional nights change the total duration and price. Do not assume every origin has a suitable direct flight on your dates.

If you prefer Delhi, choose a package with Delhi as its stated start point. A Delhi transfer is not automatically included in the Chandigarh-to-Amritsar circuit. Airport-to-coach transfers and extra nights are included only where your itinerary or quote says so.

How Many Days Should You Allow

For the complete Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Dalhousie route, allow the full 10 days shown in the itinerary, plus the travel or buffer time your flights require. If your holiday is shorter, choose a listed circuit covering fewer regions.

The complete circuit includes long road journeys. Keep the main transfer days for travelling and checking in, then use the following sightseeing days to explore. Travellers who find long drives tiring may prefer a route with fewer overnight bases.

As a planning guide, the transfer days run roughly: Chandigarh Airport to Shimla, 4 to 5.5 hours; Shimla to Manali, 7.5 to 9.5 hours; Manali to Dharamshala, 8 to 10 hours; Dharamshala to Dalhousie, 4 to 5.5 hours; and Dalhousie to Amritsar Airport, 5.5 to 7 hours.

These are planning estimates. Traffic, road works, weather and stops can extend the day. Check the road buffer before booking a flight after a mountain transfer.

What Your Himachal Holiday Will Cost

Compare the price for your actual party size and room arrangement. A couple and four adults share room and vehicle costs differently. Children, extra beds, single rooms and seasonal hotel charges can also change the quote.

Your holiday budget is the confirmed land-package price, plus travel from home, meals and activities outside the plan, and any separately agreed extras. Compare the accommodation nights, vehicle arrangement and exclusions before choosing between two prices.

Inclusions and Additional Costs

Each package has its own inclusions. The two 10-day private circuits include the stated hotel nights, breakfast and dinner plan, private route transfers and airport pickup and drop. The detailed itinerary and your dated quote confirm the accommodation, vehicle, taxes and any mandatory festive charges.

Budget separately for flights, lunches, entry tickets, adventure activities, insurance and optional upgrades. Rohtang and a dedicated Sissu excursion are outside the base 10-day programme. An Amritsar airport drop does not include a Golden Temple or Wagah visit. Other packages may include different sightseeing, so read the selected itinerary.

Hotels, Meals and Comfort on the Road

Tell us about children, mobility needs, dietary preferences, luggage and room requirements when enquiring. Ask for the proposed hotels and room categories, access steps or lifts, heating charges, hot-water arrangements and vehicle capacity before confirming.

A hotel category does not automatically include a mountain-view balcony, lift or room heater. Vegetarian, Jain, vegan, allergy-related and regional meal requests need confirmation for the selected stays.

The complete circuit combines sightseeing days with long transfers. For a gentler holiday, compare a route with fewer bases and discuss walking requirements and hotel access with the team.

Choosing Your Travel Season

Choose dates for the kind of holiday you want. Spring and early summer suit many hill-station itineraries, while autumn often suits clear views and road travel. Winter brings colder stays and possible snow-related changes. Monsoon travel needs flexibility because heavy rain can affect roads.

Snowfall on a particular date cannot be guaranteed. Rohtang, Jalori Pass, Khajjiar approaches and roads towards Sissu can have different access conditions. If an excursion is inaccessible, alternatives also depend on local road conditions and your confirmed package. Ask how extra transport or nights would be charged.

Best Places to Visit in Himachal

  • Manali

An easy, well connected base and a strong first Himachal trip. You get a lively town, day trips to Solang and the Atal Tunnel side, and quick add ons toward Kasol or Jibhi. It works in summer and through the winter snow window.

  • Shimla

The classic hill station, gentle on time and travel. Expect the Ridge, Mall Road, colonial architecture and short drives to Kufri and Narkanda. It suits first timers and families with elderly members.

  • Spiti Valley

A high altitude cold desert, best read as a mountain expedition. Spiti holds Key Monastery, Chandratal in season, Pin Valley and ancient villages, with some of the biggest landscapes in the country. The full circuit runs roughly June to early October.

  • Dharamshala and McLeodganj

A calm base with Tibetan culture, cafes and Dhauladhar views. You get monasteries, the McLeodganj cafe belt and the Triund trek nearby, at a relaxed pace. Post monsoon brings the clearest mountain views.

  • Kasol and Parvati Valley

An easy going riverside valley for younger travellers and friend groups. Kasol covers Manikaran, riverside cafes and short walks toward Chalal and the Kheerganga base. Spring and clear post monsoon weeks are the most comfortable.

  • Kinnaur

Apple country and long mountain roads for travellers ready to go higher. Kinnaur takes in Sangla, Chitkul, Kalpa and the Kinner Kailash views, with a wilder feel than the hill stations. It flows straight into Spiti on the full circuit.

  • Jibhi and Tirthan Valley

A quiet valley of forest, river and wooden villages. Jibhi and Tirthan suit couples and slow travellers, with riverside stays, short forest walks and the Jalori Pass side to explore. Spring and autumn are the sweet spots.

Best Things to Do in Himachal

  • Take a High Mountain Road Trip Through Spiti and Kinnaur

The Shimla to Kaza to Manali loop is one of the great Indian road trips. You climb slowly through Kinnaur into the Spiti cold desert, taking in Key Monastery, Chandratal and ancient villages. It runs roughly June to early October and needs a full week or more.

  • Play in the Snow at Solang and Kufri

In deep winter, Manali with Solang and the Atal Tunnel side, and Shimla with Kufri and Narkanda, are the popular snow bases. Expect snow play, sledging and easy winter fun for families. Fresh snowfall is weather, so a little date flexibility helps.

  • Slow Down in an Offbeat Valley

For quiet over checklists, valleys like Jibhi, Tirthan, Shangarh and Sangla are hard to beat. Think forest walks, riverside stays and very few crowds. Spring and autumn bring the clearest light and the most comfortable roads.

  • Explore Tibetan Culture in McLeodganj

Above Dharamshala, McLeodganj brings monasteries, prayer flags, a busy cafe belt and the Triund trek. It is a relaxed base for couples and anyone drawn to the culture. Post monsoon offers the clearest Dhauladhar views.

  • Camp Beside Chandratal Lake

In the short summer season, Chandratal is one of Himachal's most striking high altitude lakes. Nearby camps let you stay under a huge night sky at over four thousand metres. Access depends entirely on the mountain passes being open.

  • Ride the Kalka to Shimla Toy Train

The narrow gauge line from Kalka to Shimla is a gentle, scenic way to arrive, winding through tunnels and pine forest. It is an easy, family friendly ride and a fitting start to a Shimla trip.

Himachal Tour Package FAQs

Which Himachal package covers Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Dalhousie?

Our Standard and Premium private circuits cover all four in 10 days. Compare them if you want a longer Himachal holiday with your own group. Shorter packages cover fewer regions and can be a better fit when your available days are limited.

Are 7 days enough for a complete Himachal circuit?

For our four-destination circuit, plan for 10 days. If you have 7 days, choose a more compact itinerary from the listed packages. Include your journey from home and any flight buffer when counting leave days.

How much does the complete Himachal package cost?

For four adults sharing two rooms on regular dates, the published estimates start at Rs 37,999 per adult for Standard and Rs 51,999 for Premium. Couple rates and peak dates differ. Flights are extra, and the final dated quote confirms the total.

Can we book from Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai or Kerala?

Yes. You can join the package at its stated pickup point after arranging your own travel from home. For the 10-day circuit, check Chandigarh arrival and Amritsar departure flights. Share your actual departure airport and flight timings before paying for tickets.

Are flights included in the Himachal tour package?

Flights are booked separately. The package covers the ground arrangements stated in its itinerary. Ask about any airport-to-coach transfer or additional overnight stay, since these are not automatically included.

Should we choose Chandigarh or Delhi as the starting point?

Use the start point of the package you select. The complete private circuit starts at Chandigarh Airport. Several shorter itineraries start from Delhi with Volvo or private-cab travel. Compare the full journey and arrival timings before deciding.

Can we fly home from Amritsar after the complete circuit?

The 10-day private circuit ends at Amritsar Airport. Have the team check your proposed departure time and road buffer before booking. The airport drop does not include sightseeing in Amritsar; extra time there requires a separate arrangement and quote.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium?

The core 10-day route is the same. Standard uses entry-level 3-star or equivalent stays and a private vehicle appropriate to the party arrangement. Premium uses upper 3-star or entry-level 4-star equivalent stays and Innova Crysta transport. Confirm the actual hotels, room types and vehicle arrangement in your quote.

Is every Himachal package completely private?

Some trips have a private vehicle throughout, some combine shared scheduled Volvo journeys with private sightseeing, and the offbeat group trip has shared arrangements on fixed dates. Check the transport details and full itinerary before booking.

Do the stated nights always mean hotel nights?

Some shorter packages include overnight coach or cab travel in the trip's night count. The two 10-day private circuits have nine hotel nights. Check accommodation nights and overnight travel separately when comparing itineraries.

Is the full circuit suitable for children and older travellers?

It depends on comfort with long road journeys, walking and hotel access. Share ages, mobility needs and room requirements before booking. Travellers who need shorter drives may prefer fewer destinations.

Is snow guaranteed and are Rohtang and Sissu included?

Snowfall cannot be guaranteed. Excursions depend on the selected package, road access and local permissions. The base 10-day circuit does not include Rohtang or a dedicated Sissu excursion. Check the itinerary before assuming every Manali package includes both.

What happens if a road closes?

The team will assess accessible alternatives and explain any changes. Extra hotel nights, transfers or major rerouting can cost more, depending on the booking terms. Ask how disruption costs will be handled before confirming.

Can we choose a quieter offbeat trip instead?

Compare the existing valley routes or the fixed group itinerary through Jibhi, Tirthan, Shangarh, Barot and Bir. The group trip has its own dates, transport and sharing arrangements, separate from the classic four-town private circuit.

Are vegetarian, Jain or regional meals available?

Tell us your dietary requirements before booking so the selected stays can confirm what they can provide. Vegetarian preferences, Jain or vegan preparation, food allergies and regional menus should not be assumed to be included at every property.

Should we book a package or arrange everything ourselves?

Independent booking gives you direct control over each hotel and transfer. A package combines the stated arrangements through one operator. Compare the actual hotels, vehicle, driving days, inclusions and cancellation terms, then choose the arrangement you prefer. A package is not automatically cheaper.

Are permits required for Himachal?

Some areas require permits. Parts of the Rohtang side, and certain inner areas of Kinnaur and Spiti, need permits, and foreign nationals may require an Inner Line Permit. Rules, quotas and fees can change with the season, so we confirm current requirements for your specific dates and route. Where a package includes permit assistance, we handle the paperwork for you.

How early should I book a Himachal package?

The earlier the better for peak periods. Summer holidays, the December to New Year snow window and long weekends fill up fast, so booking several weeks ahead is wise. Early booking also gives better hotel and vehicle choices at fairer rates. For offbeat valleys with limited stays, planning ahead matters even more.

When will I receive hotel and driver details?

You will receive your confirmed hotel and driver details before departure, so you know exactly who to contact on the ground. This includes your driver's number and your stay information for each night. If any change is needed close to travel, our team will inform you directly. You are never left guessing about where you are staying or who is driving.

What should I pack for a Himachal trip?

Pack layered warm clothing, since mountain nights are cold even in summer, along with comfortable walking shoes and a good jacket. Add sunscreen, sunglasses, a cap and any personal medicines. For winter or high altitude trips, add heavier woollens, gloves and thermal wear. We share a route specific packing note with your booking so you carry exactly what your trip needs.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Cancellation and rescheduling terms vary by season, package and supplier arrangements. Peak dates and non refundable bookings can carry stricter terms, so please read the details before you pay. Where possible, we help you move dates rather than cancel, subject to availability. The full terms are set out on our cancellation and refund policy page, which we recommend reading upfront.

Is mobile network available across Himachal?

Mobile coverage varies by provider and location. In towns and popular hill stations it is generally reliable, but in remote valleys and high areas, like inner Spiti and parts of Kinnaur, it can be patchy or absent. Please check your accommodation's connectivity before relying on it, and share your itinerary with family before you lose signal.
