Your Trip in a Nutshell

Duration
6 Nights / 7 Days
Start / End Point
Delhi to Delhi by private cab, with pickup and drop at your home, the Delhi airport or a railway station
Stay
Manali 3N, Kasol 1N, Jibhi 1N, plus 1 overnight cab night (Delhi to Delhi)
Meals
5 breakfasts and 5 dinners, one of each on your hotel nights
Main Highlight
Manali with Vashisht, Hadimba and Old Manali, a full-day Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Sissu drive when the road is open, Kasol and Manikaran, and Jibhi with the waterfall and an optional Serolsar Lake walk from Jalori Pass.
Best Season
March to June and mid-September to early December are the most comfortable. Winter trips run on lower-altitude alternatives, since Jalori Pass, the Atal Tunnel road to Sissu and other higher roads can close, and snow is not guaranteed.
Ideal For
Couples, families and friends who want a comfortable private-cab road trip across Manali, Kasol and Jibhi and are fine with one long travel day at each end

Know Before You Go

  • Starting price is for four adults travelling together and sharing two double rooms, with Premium-category stays, a private cab and the meals listed in your itinerary. Travelling as a couple or with a different group size? Share your dates for an exact quote.
  • Six nights means five hotel nights plus one overnight journey in the private cab on the way back. We do not count the overnight drive as a hotel night. If you would prefer an extra night in Jibhi and a daytime drive on Day 7, ask us and we will quote that version.
  • The Day 6 return to Delhi is a long overnight drive. We plan the driver's hours and rest for your dates and confirm the exact arrangement, including any rest halt, second driver or added cost, before departure. If you would rather not travel overnight, take the extra-night-in-Jibhi option with a daytime drive on Day 7.
  • The Day 1 Delhi to Manali drive is long, about 12 to 14 hours with breaks, so expect to reach Manali by evening and keep the first night easy.
  • This trip uses the Atal Tunnel to reach Sissu and does not go over the Rohtang Pass. Rohtang is a separate permit-controlled excursion and is not part of this plan.
  • Solang, the Atal Tunnel and Sissu depend on the weather, the road, the local administration's permission and whether your booked cab is allowed on the day. After fresh snow the police often allow only 4x4 vehicles with chains beyond Solang, and any such 4x4 is arranged locally, paid separately, and does not override a closure. There are no stops inside the tunnel, and the north-portal viewpoints can be restricted for safety.
  • If the Sissu side is closed, we keep the day around accessible Manali, such as Naggar and quieter viewpoints and cafes, rather than a distant substitute. Snow is never guaranteed on any date.
  • On the Jalori day, the Serolsar Lake walk is optional and about 10 to 11 km return over roughly 5 to 6 hours, on a forest trail with rocky steps at around 3,100 to 3,200 metres, so it suits reasonably fit walkers rather than everyone. There is no guide by default; we can try to arrange a local guide at extra cost and suggest one in poor visibility. If you prefer not to walk, the group stays at the pass, which has only basic dhabas, a temple and short strolls, or skips the trek for an easy Jibhi and Banjar morning.
  • Jalori Pass is usually snow-blocked in deep winter, roughly December to March. When it is closed we use accessible Jibhi and Banjar-area options, and Shoja only if its approach is open, rather than swapping one closed high stop for another.
  • Short walks on uneven ground come up through the trip: the Jibhi Waterfall is about a ten-minute uphill path with some slippery steps, and Hadimba, Vashisht and the village lanes also mean a little walking, so carry comfortable shoes.
  • Your private cab covers the agreed Delhi to Delhi itinerary and the listed sightseeing, not unlimited running around. On-trip coordination is included, but a separate accompanying tour manager or trip captain is not.
  • Rooms are private with attached bathrooms. A balcony, a view, a riverside spot, a lift, a heater or a bathtub is included only if your quote says so, and we share the property, room type and heating details before you confirm.
  • Your expected vehicle is matched to your group: an Ertiga for 2 to 3 adults, or an Innova or Innova Crysta for 4 to 5. Six or more guests need a separately quoted larger vehicle, and we name the exact vehicle before we confirm. Travel-time estimates are for planning, not live road-status promises, so check conditions for your dates; network can be patchy around Sissu and Jibhi, so carry cash, offline maps and photo IDs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the starting price based on?

The starting price is per person for four adults travelling together and sharing two double rooms. It is not a per-couple price.

What changes when only two people travel?

Two adults sharing one room work out to a higher per-person rate than the four-adult price, because the fixed cab and trip costs are split between fewer people. Tell us your dates and we will send a couple-specific quote.

How many hotel nights are included?

Five hotel nights: three in Manali, one in Kasol and one in Jibhi. The sixth night is spent on the overnight private-cab drive from the Jalori side back to Delhi, so it is not a hotel night. If you want a sixth hotel night in Jibhi and a daytime drive on Day 7 instead, we can quote that version.

Is the cab private for the entire itinerary?

Yes. Your cab is private to your group for the whole trip, Delhi to Delhi, including the sightseeing in the plan. It covers the agreed itinerary rather than unlimited running around.

Which hotels and vehicle should we expect?

Premium-category stays are a high-end 3-star or entry 4-star equivalent standard, in hotels and cottages, with private rooms and attached bathrooms. Your expected cab is matched to your group: an Ertiga for 2 to 3 adults, or an Innova or Innova Crysta for 4 to 5. We confirm the exact property and vehicle before you travel.

Which meals are included?

Five breakfasts and five dinners, one of each on your five hotel nights. Lunches, cafe bills, snacks and any meals on the overnight drive are not included.

Is the Serolsar Lake walk compulsory, and how hard is it?

No, it is optional. It is about 10 to 11 km return over roughly 5 to 6 hours, on a forest trail with rocky steps at around 3,100 to 3,200 metres, so it is a long walk that suits reasonably fit walkers rather than everyone. There is no guide by default; we can try to arrange a local guide at extra cost and suggest one in poor visibility. If you prefer not to walk, the group stays together at the pass, which has basic dhabas, a temple and short strolls, or skips the trek for an easy Jibhi and Banjar morning.

Who drives the long overnight return, and how is it kept safe?

The Day 6 return to Delhi is a long overnight drive. We plan the driver's hours and rest for your dates and confirm the exact arrangement before departure, adding a rest halt or a second driver where the schedule needs it and telling you any cost first. If you would rather not travel through the night, the more comfortable option is an extra night in Jibhi and a daytime drive on Day 7, which we are happy to quote.

Do we need a permit for Sissu, and what if the road is closed?

The Sissu drive uses the Atal Tunnel, not the permit-controlled Rohtang Pass, but it still depends on the weather, the road and the local administration's permission on the day, and whether your cab is allowed. After snow the police may allow only 4x4 vehicles beyond Solang; any such 4x4 is arranged locally, paid separately, and does not override a closure. If the Sissu side is shut, we keep the day around accessible Manali.

What happens when Jalori Pass is inaccessible?

When Jalori Pass is snow-blocked, which is common in deep winter, we switch to accessible Jibhi and Banjar-area options such as village walks, the waterfall, cafes and open viewpoints, and Shoja only if its approach is open. We do not swap one closed high stop for another, and snow is never guaranteed.

What should we know about pickup, drop and onward travel?

Pickup and drop are at your home, the Delhi airport or a railway station. The Day 1 drive to Manali is long, about 12 to 14 hours, and the return is an overnight drive arriving Delhi by morning. Arrival times are estimates that depend on the roads, so keep a comfortable buffer before any onward train or flight.

Will we see snow on this trip?

From about December to March, snow is possible around Solang, Sissu and sometimes Jalori Pass, but it depends on the weather and cannot be promised for a fixed date. A little date flexibility helps, and we use lower-altitude alternatives when higher roads are closed.
