Yes, we usually take the short side trip to Gue village to see the 500 year old preserved mummy of monk Sangha Tenzin, one of the only self mummified monks in India. It is open in the daytime, and the mummy room is opened by a local caretaker if it is shut. Flash photos and drones are not allowed because it is a holy place near the border.

Yes. Pin Valley is part of Day 5. You drive in from the Dhankar side and stop at the nearer villages and viewpoints, where the valley opens out and the green Pin river runs through bare mountains. The group does not drive deep into Pin Valley on this trip. The exact stops depend on time, daylight, and the road on the day.
