Frequently Asked Questions

Is this trip beginner-friendly?

Yes. The treks are short and moderate, transfers are arranged end to end, and our team shares trek pointers before each walk. Most travellers on this trip are doing their first Himalayan trek.

Can I join solo?

Yes, solo travellers join our group departures regularly. You travel with the batch throughout, so you are never on your own for transfers or treks. Solo travellers on twin-sharing are paired with another traveller of the same gender.

Is this trip safe for women travelling alone?

Yes. Our batches usually have a healthy mix of solo women travellers, and our stays are family-run homestays and verified hostels. Our on-trip coordinator stays reachable throughout, and Tirthan is one of the calmer, safer valleys in Himachal.

Where does the Volvo board from in Delhi?

Boarding points are Kashmere Gate ISBT, Majnu Ka Tilla and RK Ashram Metro. We confirm your exact point and timing on WhatsApp a day before departure. Reach your boarding point 30 minutes early with a valid ID.

How long is the Delhi to Aut journey?

Around 11 to 12 hours overnight by AC semi-sleeper Volvo, via Chandigarh, Mandi and the Aut Tunnel. You board around 8 PM and reach Aut by early morning.

What are the stays like?

Budget riverside homestays, hostels and Airbnbs in Tirthan Valley. Rooms are simple, clean and warm, with breakfast and dinner included. If you prefer better rooms, choose the Standard or Premium stay category while booking.

Will there be snow?

Depends on when you travel. Jalori Pass usually gets snow between late December and February, and the pass can close temporarily after heavy snowfall. From March to June and October to early December, expect clear trails rather than snow. We confirm current conditions before your departure.

How difficult are the treks?

Raghupur Fort is about 3 km one way through meadows and ridgeline, roughly 3 to 4 hours round trip. Serolsar Lake is 5 to 6 km one way through forest, flatter but longer. Both are moderate. Anyone with basic fitness who can walk a few hours with breaks can do them.

Can I skip a trek if I am tired?

Yes. Both treks are optional. If you prefer, you can spend the day at Jalori Pass itself or by the river in Tirthan. Just inform your coordinator that morning.

Is there mobile network in Tirthan and Jibhi?

Jio and Airtel work reasonably in Tirthan and Jibhi villages. Signal drops at Jalori Pass, Serolsar and Chehni Kothi. Download offline maps and inform family about patchy coverage in advance.

Are there ATMs in the valley?

ATMs in the valley are unreliable. Withdraw cash in Delhi or at Aut. Most cafes and stays accept UPI when the network cooperates, but carry enough cash for entry fees, snacks and small purchases.

What should I pack?

Warm layers even in summer, trekking or sturdy sports shoes, a refillable water bottle, day snacks, sunscreen, a power bank and a small daypack for treks. In winter, add heavy woollens and gloves.

Are meals included?

Breakfast and dinner during your stays in Tirthan. Lunches, snacks and beverages are on you, which works well since Day 2 and Day 3 keep you out exploring near cafes and local dhabas.

What happens if the road closes due to a landslide or snowfall?

Himachal roads can close without notice in monsoon or after heavy snow. If that happens, we adjust the plan to the safest workable route. Any extra costs from weather, landslides or diversions are not included in the package price, as noted in Exclusions.

Can I book this from Chandigarh or Manali instead of Delhi?

Yes. Choose Chandigarh to Chandigarh or Manali to Manali in the start point options while booking. Both cost less than the Delhi option since the Volvo leg is shorter or not needed.

What is the group size?

You can pick your batch type while booking, from micro groups of 3 to 5 travellers up to full batches of 16 to 20. Smaller groups cost more per person but move faster and feel more personal.

How do I confirm my booking?

Send an enquiry or message us on WhatsApp, and our team shares the payment link and confirmation details. Booking terms, refund and cancellation policies are listed under Package Policies on this page.

Which is the best season for this trip?

March to June for pleasant weather and open trails, October to December for crisp air and clear mountain views. Monsoon (July to mid-September) is green but comes with landslide risk, and January to February is for travellers who specifically want snow at Jalori.

⭐ Worst Travel Experience Ever – Felt Like a Punishment Our trip to Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh with this travel agency was a total nightmare. We paid in advance for a soothing, luxurious stay but ended up suffering. The hotel was under construction, full of dust and noise, which badly affected my husband’s dust allergy. There was no room heater unless we paid extra, no complimentary clean water, no tea or coffee options, and our 8-year-old daughter didn’t even get hot milk. The meal menu was the same every day, making the experience even worse. The agency ignored all our messages, and to make it worse, they have no refund or compensation policy. Completely unprofessional, careless, and heartless — they turned our family holiday into a punishment. Avoid this agency at all costs.
