You land on it only if your voucher lists it. If the timing works, the Dharohar folk show at Bagore Ki Haveli is a short walk away, optional and paid separately or arranged on request. Know Before You Go
- Tickets, your way. The time sensitive experiences here, the Lake Pichola boat ride and the Nakki Lake boating, are arranged in advance and included, and so is your private cab across the two cities and all sightseeing, which covers transport rather than every attraction ticket. Flexible attraction tickets such as City Palace, Sajjangarh and the Dharohar show stay separate, so you pay only for what you enter. We can arrange eligible tickets before travel or assist with eligible same day bookings at the official price plus any disclosed charge, or you can buy standard tickets at the venue counter. Same day help depends on availability and venue rules, so limited seat, fixed time or sold out experiences cannot be guaranteed on the day
- Your drop point, whether Udaipur airport, Udaipur City railway station or Abu Road railway station, must be confirmed before booking. A return drive from Mount Abu to Udaipur covers more distance than an Abu Road drop and may affect the final quotation
- The Dharohar folk show on Day 1 is optional and depends on your arrival timing. Tickets are payable separately or can be arranged on request
- Mount Abu stays noticeably cooler than Udaipur through the year. Carry a light jacket even in October and proper woollens from December to February
- Dilwara temple timings for tourists are roughly noon to 5 pm, mornings are reserved for worship. Photography is not allowed inside and leather items are not allowed
- AC use is restricted on the hill climb sections of the Mount Abu road, standard practice for hill roads
- The Udaipur to Mount Abu drive is about 165 km and takes around four hours. We place it mid trip so no day feels wasted
- For honeymoon bookings we can add room decoration and a candlelight dinner, ask at the time of booking
- Activities are subject to weather, water levels, operating schedules, ticket availability and local authority instructions. If an included activity cannot operate, we will first try to reschedule it within your trip. If that is not possible, the applicable activity component will be refunded or adjusted with your approval. Tickets already issued may be non-refundable under the supplier's policy
- July to September is the green season, Mount Abu is at its best and Udaipur's lakes are full. Expect occasional slow driving on wet hill stretches
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a group tour or a private tour?
This is a private tour with your own cab and driver for the whole trip including the Udaipur to Mount Abu drive, no sharing of your vehicle and no fixed departure dates, so you can start on any day that works for you. The general sightseeing flow can be adjusted around your preferences, while pre booked activities, attraction timings, temple timings and venue operating hours stay fixed. Do note that the boat rides at both lakes are shared experiences alongside other visitors.
How long is the Udaipur to Mount Abu drive?
About 165 km and around four hours. We place it in the middle of the trip after breakfast, so you arrive by early afternoon with the whole evening ahead of you at Nakki Lake.
Why does Dilwara come after lunch and not in the morning?
The Dilwara temples open to tourists from around noon, mornings are reserved for worship. So the morning goes to Guru Shikhar and the temples come after lunch. Operators who schedule Dilwara in the morning leave their guests standing at a closed gate.
Are both boat rides really included?
Yes, the Lake Pichola late afternoon or golden hour boat ride in Udaipur and the Nakki Lake boating in Mount Abu are both inside the package price.
Can we end the trip at Abu Road instead of returning to Udaipur?
Yes. Abu Road railway station is only 28 km from Mount Abu and has good train connections, while a drop at Udaipur means the full drive back. Tell us your onward plan and we will confirm the drop point and the exact cost in your final quotation, since the two options cover different distances.
Is this a good monsoon trip?
One of the best in Rajasthan. July to September is when Mount Abu is at its greenest and Udaipur's lakes fill up. Carry rain protection and expect occasional slow driving on the hill stretch, the views make up for it.
What should we pack for Mount Abu?
Mount Abu stays noticeably cooler than Udaipur through the year. A light jacket even in October, proper woollens from December to February. AC use is restricted on the hill climb sections, standard practice for hill roads.
Can this work as a honeymoon trip?
Very well, it is a popular honeymoon route. We can add room decoration, a cake and a candlelight dinner, tell us at the time of booking and we will confirm the arrangements and cost.
Where will our hotels be?
One hotel in Udaipur for 2 nights and one in Mount Abu for 2 nights, clean and well rated verified budget or entry level 3 star properties chosen for location and guest reviews. We share exact options for your dates before you confirm.
What is not included in the price?
Monument and temple entry fees, lunches and dinners, and anything not listed in the inclusions. Entry fees are payable at the gate so you pay the actual price, not a marked up one.
Can Travel Coffee arrange attraction tickets?
Yes. Our team can arrange eligible attraction tickets before travel or assist with eligible same day bookings where tickets are available and the venue allows online or advance purchase. Any unavoidable booking charge will be disclosed before payment. You may also purchase standard tickets directly at the official counter. Limited seat, fixed time or sold out experiences may not be available on the same day.
